What’s the difference between gourmet coffee and specialty coffee?

Can you give me an example of each? I’ve searced it everywhere i could think of and couldnt’ find anything that tells the difference or example of each. thanks

is caribou’s Kenya AA a gourmet coffee or specialty coffee? it doesn’t really say on their website.

    The cost, my friend! LOL! Seriously, they are interchangeable terms…though some people might consider “specialty” to be a sub-group of “gourmet”…

    For example, you might consider a “specialty coffee” to be one grown in a very small region of the world…it might not have an added flavor, such as vanilla, but rest assured, it will be a FINE cup of java.

    Some would consider the exquisite quality and taste of the coffee to be a “gourmet” coffee…while some only consider that a “flavor-added” coffee is “gourmet”

    My family owns a restaurant, and this has been a discussion we have had over the years…
