What do you think of this business name?
teelob asked: I’m planning to open a gourmet coffeehouse in my area. I want a name that will catch attention but also is clear that the business involves coffee (espresso). What do you think of “Java Elite”? I plan to make it a place that you can order and go but also a trendy, comfortable atmosphere that you can hang out at, read, play chess and socialize. I’m picturing some standard cafe tables and chairs and also big “fluffy” chairs in groups. Please tell me what you think and what you picture just hearing the name. Thanks!

idk y ..but the name makes me think of some weird retro futuristic coffee house…lol…maybe im just weird
That is a cool idea. Name is catchy too. Good luck, its the going thing today so survey the area you want to open it at and see how many people like that kind of place. Or go to the nearest shop and stand outside (not where they can see you ) and ask how far they travel to get to that shop
It’s nice, but does it flow well? The two vowels (a,e) make it kind of awkward. I would change it to JavElite or Javalite.
I don’t like the word ‘Elite’. It conjurs images of elitism to me..snobby. Use a thesaurus and you should be able to find alternatives to the elite word that can still translate to a premium message without the snobby connotations.
Good luck!
It’s good but it may scare away people who may think it is expensive and caters to the upper income. higher educated people. Make the name sound inviting (Elite is used to describe rare, limited, the best a special group) What about Java Express! or Hava Java Cafe. The worse thing about Starbucks is it takes so long to get your coffee. make it appeal to everyone who walks by.
